The Miralduolo holiday farm is situated in the centre of Umbria, “Italy’s green heart” on a 130-hectare farm specialised in the production of grains, vegetables, sugar beets and olive oil. There is a beautiful view of the old part of Perugia and the nearby medieval town of Torgiano“, the city of wine”. The farm is a short distance from lake Trasimeno and other artistic centres of Umbria (Assisi, Spoleto, Gubbio, Todi). The Perugia airport, San Egidio, is very near.
The Miralduolo agricultural complex is made up of an old farmhouse from the mid-19th century and adjacent drying houses for tobacco. The buildings have all been carefully restored and refurbished with an eye for the original architecture, and eight spacious apartments (for 6, 4 and 2 guests) have been created. The interiors have been assembled with care and have modern amenities, TV, fireplace and each apartment has its own outdoor table.
After visiting the artistic cities of Umbria and nearby Tuscan (Siena 100 km, Florence 140 km), guests can relax in the good-sized solarium of the swimming pool surrounded by trees and flowers and the scents of the country, where it is possible to enjoy the sun all day long.
The area is inviting for walks, horseback riding (stables, 1km), and cycling (available for guests, routes are indicated on a map) to discover the most suggestive and panoramic spots. Children can play ping-pong, bagatelle, “bocce” on the grass or play on the swing. Within the farm, it is possible to fish along the Tiber river, or at the nearby sports fishing lake. Guided visits of farm activities can also be arranged. Tennis and golf are close at hand. A barbecue is available for guest use for enjoyable outdoor meals.
DOC wine, extra virgin olive oil and other typical products can be purchased. A typical restaurant located a short distance away offers tasty dishes of the Umbrian cuisine.
