Donati Donati's farmhouse is a part of other houses located in a little country village called Luia, in Chiantishire, at about 35 km from Florence and 40 Km from Siena. It is about 8 km from Certaldo, a medieval village, where Boccaccio was borne, and 21 Km from San Gimignano. At a distance of 300 m there is a grocer shop. Supermarket, shops and public services are in Fiano (about at 2,5 km from Luia). Besides the farmhouse there is a large farmyard, in partnership with another family. The farmyard has a wonderful view on the valley, is adorned with many coloured flowers and it is possible to have meals there enjoying of the shade of a high walnat. There is also a place for barbecue. On one side of the farmyard there is a hayloft with arcade and just near a square where there is possible to park cars; there is a little swimming-pool (3 m to h 0,70). There are fields, vegetable gardens and many trees: vines, oilves, peaches, kakis and other fruit trees, also part of the Donati's property. Those who love horse riding can visit the Equestrian Centre in Montespertoli (Via Pian di Pesa,2 phone 39 0571 670672) or the riding grounds at the Tuscany American Farm House. For the sportsmen, the tennis courts in Montespertoli (Via Volterrana Nord phone 39 055 671347) are easily reachable.
