The Le Calle agritourist farm is located in the Poggi del Sasso hills in the heart of the Montecucco DOC zone, halfway between Monte Amiata and the Tuscan Maremma. Our family-run farm covers an area of 70 hectares and in the typical farmer’s tradition, a complex of grapevines and olives (6 hectares each) make up the main cultivations; other crops include grains and we raise beef cattle (typical Appennino breed) and Amiatina donkeys. We maintain organic farming methods. Our agritourist structures allow you to spend your holiday in complete tranquillity, far from the noise of every-day life, immersed in the simple traditions of ancient peasant life. In the small rural enclave called “La Cava” near the centre of the farm you’ll find two charming apartments (“Casa di Carola” and “Casetta di Olinto”), while 2 km away surrounded by nature there is the “Casetta Le Calle”. At the farm there is a laundry area with washing machine for guest use. In addition, it is possible to participate in the various farm tasks that we carry out during the year. And for sports enthusiasts, we have mountain-bikes available for adventures into the Tuscan countryside.
The agritourism’s gardens include an attractive swimming pool surrounded by sun beds, deck chairs, sunshades and a well equipped children’s playground.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed warmly and we’ll show you our wine cellars and in the tasting room you’ll be offered bruschetta made with our own Tuscan PGI extra virgin olive oil and our Montecucco DOC wine…and we’ll drink a toast
