MARCHES BIOLOGICAL FARMHOUSE - SWIMMING POOL - RESTAURANT

 

Montefeltro is a hilly valley area in the northern portion of the Marches region, between Tuscany, Umbria and Romagna. The ancient hamlet of Le Torricelle is located on a hill in the Val di Foglia where the d’Oliva noble family had their castle and the peasants built their houses.

Today on the site of the castle there is a church and many of the peasant houses have fallen to ruin.
But Le Torricelle has come back to life and is ready to welcome guest seeking tranquillity and wholesomeness in a relaxing family atmosphere.

The stone houses still maintain their original brick floors and ceilings and have be refurbished with care.
The mosaic swimming pool is particularly inviting with its terraces and is perfect for relaxation, and the surrounding countryside is ideal for long walks or excursions by mountain bike (4 mountain bikes are available).
If you like to work with your hands, you can do wood or clay sculpting or learn to make bread or soap.
Excursions in the area will take you to famous Medieval castles designed by Francesco Giorgio Martini (e.g. Sassocorvaro, San Leo) or Renaissance towns such as Urbino and Arezzo.
Nearby there is the Sasso Simone natural park, and in one you can reach the San Bartolo natural park on the Adriatic coast between Gabbice and Pesaro.

Our organic farm conists of a large garden with all types of vegetables, a mixed fruit orchard, a small olive grove and ten families of bees.
With our guests, we organize two or three times a week a group dinner in the dining room with wood-burning oven or in the garden with a view of the valley and mountains.
In addition to regional specialities, including chestnuts and black and white truffles in autumn, you can enjoy Bavarian specialities as well.
