A territory of about 3600 hectares of great naturalistic, historical and archaeological value. Among the rocky banks of the Candigliano river between the Paganuccio and Pietralata mountains, the riversare full of cyprinoids and salmonoids, which nourish the Metauro. This gorge, formed thousands of years ago, was first used by the Etruscans then by the Romans (who also enlarged it) making this area a part of the Flaminian Way. In the forest, there are mammals such as the wolf, porcupine, skunk and many others; also there are many birds of prey such as the eagle, peregrine falcon, goshawk and the sparrow-hawk.
