The Sannita civilization prospered for a long time in the area of Molise, until the advent of Rome which, after the famous Sannitic wars, expanded its control in southern Italy.
The museum, which is housed in an elegant 19th-century building, takes a look at various moments in the history of Sannio, reaching back to its earliest historical mention.
The many objects of value on display. The exhibits are divided into four sections: men’s and women’s clothing, household objects, objects for work, and objects for religious and funerary rites.
