In 1997 Tilde and Nello Fariello planned Iscairia.They wanted to join with other people the pleasure to live side by side with nature on the footsteps of a famous archeological past. Iscairia (whose greek meaning is happy island) is Situated in Velia near Ascea, in the National Park of Cilento, which has lately beeb considered a 'treasure For the human world' by UNESCO. Iscairia is a large country house (it was built just in the 60s) surrounded by many olive trees. It stands nearby the ancient archeological site of Yele - Velia, a town founded by some refugees from Focea in the VI century B.C. It was also the birthplace of some famous Eleatic philosophers as Senofane, Parmenide and Zenone. In spring or in summer you can enjoy a wonderful romantic sunset and the fresh sea-air from the large stone gazebo where you can also have dinner in the evening.The peacefulness of the place secures you a great rest. The lawn around the gazebo not only offers the olives chilliness but also a playground for your children.
