Villa il Carrubo, with its mild and well-ventilated climate and set midway between
gentle hills, the sea and mountains, is in excellent point of departure for excursions to discover the region of Basilicata.
There are numerous possible itineraries in the area and, within a 40-minute range, you can reach
Matera (the famous “Sassi”), Metaponto, (museum, the Palatine Tablets, archaeological excavations), Policoro (museum and archaeological excavations) , Taranto, (the port and museum); in 15-20 minutes, the
beaches of the Ionian coast and villages in the area where, especially in summer, interesting local festivals are held. Only 1 km away is Pisticci, a particular village for its old charm and characteristic neighbourhoods.
The grounds of the holiday house are completely fenced. After the long driveway that divides the 1000-sq-m garden from the
orchard there is a 400-sq-m tiled equipped patio where you can sit in the shade of centuries-old trees, enjoy the sun or pass the evening outdoors with friends.
