Giardino degli Ulivi sits at the foot of the Gargano promontory just two kilometres from the beautiful seaside of Margherita di Savoia, well-known tourist and spa centre. The area is appreciated worldwide for its protected salt pans and wetlands, refuge to numerous species of birds such as pink flamingos, stilt plovers, and herons; the archaeological site of Trinitapoli, two kilometres away, offers the visitor a look at the ancient city.
The farm’s strategic position renders it a perfect point of departure for excursions to the northern and southern parts of Puglia: for architectural beauty there are Castel del Monte, Trani, with the Romanesque church and the castle, Barletta town of the Disfida challenge, Canne della Battaglia; for religious itineraries, San Giovanni Rotondo, Monte Sant’Angelo; and for naturalistic itineraries in the wetlands and salt pans, Margherita di Savoia.
The structure has three distinct areas:
The restaurant is set among olive trees and has a large banquet room from where you can admire the beautiful Castel del Monte countryside and two smaller rooms; numerous typical Pugliese dishes are on offer.
The residential area.
The sports area offers a pleasant atmosphere. There is a semi-olympic swimming pool, child’s pool, two five-man-soccer fields, a jogging path, changing rooms, and a play area for children. Various courses can be organized: swimming for children and adults, aqua gym, scuba diving.
