The farm is composed of two stone constructions (one dating back to the second half of the 1800’s, the other to the beginning of the 1900’s) set in the centre of 10 hectares of fields and oak woodlands at 500 metres elevation on the slopes of Majella. One of the two buildings has recently been refurbished, creating three apartments with kitchen and bathrooms. The other construction, which contains an old hayloft, stable, chicken coop, hog pen, and cellar will be refurbished soon. There are plenty of outdoor spaces available for our guests to relax and the working farm can be visited and enjoyed by those wishing to learn about traditional cultivation methods. Our products include oil, spelt, wine and vegetables, all in very small quantities and strictly following traditional methods; we also have a small hen house.
Remodelling was carried out with careful attention to maintaining traditional forms, colours and materials with exclusive use of stone, wood and brick. The furnishings (traditional rustic pieces in wood and wrought iron) lend the rooms a simple and rustic yet attractive and comfortable style. The largest apartment is arranged on two levels. It has a ground-floor entry, sitting room with fireplace (including sofa, table, credenza and chairs), kitchen (fireplace, stove, sink, washing machine, fridge, table and chairs); upstairs there are two bedrooms with private bathroom. The two smaller apartments each have a sitting room with fireplace, kitchen (same furnishings as above), a bedroom and bathroom. All bedrooms have a double bed (or two singles) with the possibility of an extra bed, side tables, wardrobe and chairs.
